CULTURE PASS


The library’s Culture Pass program enables library cardholders to borrow passes from the library for free admission to cultural, educational, and community institutions.

These partnerships offers greater access to arts, culture, and education for all ages.

A limited number of passes are provided to the library at no cost to patrons or the library.

Carpe Diem String Quartet

Carpe Diem String Quartet, based in Columbus, Ohio, often champions work of living composers, including new works.

Each pass features access to 1-2 seats to a select concert weekend during their 2025–2026 season.

10 passes become available on the following Saturdays for each upcoming concert:

  • 09/13/25 for Oct 4 or 5
  • 11/29/25 for Dec 20
  • 02/07/26 for Feb 28 or Mar 1
  • 03/07/26 for Mar 28 or 29
  • 05/02/26 for May 23 or 24

An adult cardholder may borrow one pass at a time.

Columbus Museum of Art

Each pass features access to full museum membership benefits for one visit:

  • Free admission for up to eight people
  • Free parking
  • Discount at CMA’s store and café

An adult cardholder may borrow one pass at a time.

Pick up a pass at the library during business hours. 

Before visiting the Columbus Museum of Art, contact them or visit their website to verify hours, special exhibition restrictions, and other guidelines.

National Veterans Memorial and Museum

Each pass grants the passholder access to the museum for one visit.

An adult cardholder may borrow one pass at a time to use within a three-day loan period.

Pick up a pass at the library during business hours. 

Before visiting the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, contact them or visit their website to verify hours, special exhibition restrictions, and COVID-19 safety guidelines.

OSU Music Classes

Take free music instruction classes from the The Community Music School (CMS) in The Ohio State University School of Music.

A limited number of free seats to a variety of classes will be available to students of all ages with diverse backgrounds, skill levels, and educational goals.

FALL 2025 REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. STAY TUNED FOR UPCOMING SEASONS.

Seats are first come, first served while they last. 

All classes are held at OSU African American & African Studies Community Extension Center, 905 Mt. Vernon Ave.
