Job Help Day returns!
Seven Central Ohio libraries have teamed up to offer another Job Help Day @ Your Library on Thursday, March 18. The event will feature job-related presentations, programs, demonstrations and expert speakers at different library locations throughout Central Ohio.
Have your resume reviewed by experienced career advisors, get help with job search strategies, and learn interviewing techniques that will put you ahead of the pack.
You can always find great career resources at the Library—books, online resources, computer & Internet access, free resume software, industry and company information, or acquiring new skills. In today's economy, these resources are more in demand than ever.
These programs are free and open to the public. Attend one or all of these great Job Help workshops at the Grandview Library on Thursday, March 18!
- Noon-2 pm: 1-on-1 Resume Assistance
With Fred Points & Karen Hughes, Career Center at Jewish Family Services
Professional career coaches and resume writers will offer you free tips and advice on how to improve your resume to make it the best it can be. Please bring your resume! Sessions are fifteen minutes long.

- 3-4 pm: Job Seekers Beware
Presented by a representative from the Ohio Attorney General’s office
Learn the latest common consumer scams involving false promises for jobs, fake check scams & identity theft, and find out how to protect yourself.
- 4:30-5:30 pm: Effective Interviewing Techniques
With Steve Bennison from 40 Plus of Central Ohio
Do you want to interview more effectively? You have few chances to impress an employer, so your preparations & presentations must be better than the others interviewing for the same position. Learn how to effectively interview in this competitive job market!
