Patron bequeaths $5,000 to Library
Barbara Gilchrist Boggs, former Grandview resident and longtime Grandview Library patron, has left the Library a generous gift in her will.
Boggs, who died September 19 at age 81 after an eight-year bout with Alzheimer's disease, bequeathed $5,000 to the Library: $3,000 for a second Early Literacy Station and $2,000 for the Grandview Library Endowment Fund!
Boggs was a long time patron of the Grandview Library—more than 60 years, even when she moved to Upper Arlington. She graduated from the Grandview Heights High School in 1947, meeting with her classmates on a regular basis over the years. She dearly loved the Library and its Circulation & Audiovisual staff, and brightened up the Library every time she came.
The Library is very grateful for this generous gift from a beloved and loyal patron!
