Download thousands of e-books from the Grandview Library’s newest
service—Freading!
- Download Freading e-books onto a variety of compatible devices, including e-readers, smartphones, tablets, and computers.
- Get access to all titles—no holds or waiting lists.
- For PC, Mac, or eReader device (Nook, Nook Touch, Sony eReader), you will need to download and install Adobe Digital Editions software onto your computer (available on Freading’s website).
- For tablet or multi-functional device (iPad, iPod Touch, Nook Tablet, Samsung Galaxy), you will need to download an app (download from your device: Apple here, Android here).
- Access to these e-books is controlled by tokens. Each user is given a weekly allotment of six tokens, which are redeemed to borrow books. Each e-book download requires 1-4 tokens, and checks out for two weeks. Renewals for the newest titles cost one download token, but older books renew for no cost. Unused tokens rollover to the next week, but all tokens reset to six again every month.
