Coronavirus and health safety
The Grandview Heights Public Library (GHPL) is continuing to take precautions regarding the spread of COVID-19 (also known as coronavirus) to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, and everyone in the community.
While risk to the general public is still considered low, GHPL will continue to monitor information about the virus from federal, state, and local health departments as it becomes available.
GHPL has measures in place to reduce disease transmission and promote safe health practices, especially during cold and flu season:
- Hand sanitizing dispensers are available throughout the library and at library service desks.
- Staff and patrons are encouraged to wash their hands frequently and to avoid touching their faces.
- Staff clean the library – including high-use public areas, surfaces, devices, equipment, play areas, and toys – on a daily basis.
To prevent the spread of this, or any, infectious disease:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
