Project Postcard

Start a community conversation by sharing your book recommendations

Pick up a blank postcard from the library or from one of our partners and write your book review.

Then, mail it back to us or drop it off at the library using one of our book drops.

Whether it’s your longtime favorite book, something you’ve just read, or one of our Lift Your Read recommendations, your review could help others find their next great read.

Picture books, chapter books, graphic novels – we want to hear about them all!

All ages are encouraged to participate. We can’t wait to hear from you!

Lift Your Read

Our mission at the Grandview Heights Public Library is to transform lives through knowledge, ideas, and experiences.

One great way to achieve this mission is by reading books that spotlight the diverse lives and experiences of people and groups who represent our communities, near and far.

With this in mind, we encourage you and our entire community to Lift Your Read by participating in an informal community read with us each month.

While we won’t all be reading the same book, we will all be reading on the same theme to shine light on a group, experience, challenge, setting, or other topic that might not have had our attention without a “lift” in that direction.

We hope you enjoy discovering new books and experiences with these monthly staff-curated booklists to help you Lift Your Read.

March 2021: LGBTQIA+

This month, read a book about, or by, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

GHPL staff have curated lists for all ages below:

Don’t forget to join us for Walk in Somone Else’s Shoes Storytimes (Ages 2-6):

COMING UP

  • April 2021: The Immigrant Experience
  • May 2021: Mental Health
